# Get an API request

GET https://api.truvo.com/v1/requests/{id}

Reference: https://docs.truvo.com/api-reference/get-api-request

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Your Truvo API key, sent as a bearer token. The prefix selects sandbox (trv_sandbox_) or live (trv_live_).

## Request

### Path parameters

- `id` (string, required)

### Headers

- `Truvo-Version` (enum, required, default: 2026-09-26) — The contract revision of this request, which every operation in this document requires. This document describes 2026-09-26. Served revisions: 2026-09-26. A missing header, or one that names no served revision exactly, answers `invalid_version` (400), and its field error lists the served revisions in `allowed_values`, newest first.
  - Allowed values: `2026-09-26`

## Response

### 200

Read a recent request.

- `request_id` (string, required)
- `created_at` (datetime, required) — When Truvo received the request.
- `environment` (string, required)
- `key_id` (string, required) — The ID of the key that sent the request. Never the key itself.
- `operation` (string, required, nullable) — The operation the request called, such as start_quote_request.
- `method` (string, required) — The HTTP method.
- `route` (string, required) — The path the request matched, with \{id} in place of each ID, such as /v1/quote-requests/\{id}.
- `status` (integer, required) — The HTTP status of the answer.
- `error_code` (RequestLogEntryErrorCode, required, nullable) — The error code of the answer, or null when the request succeeded.
- `duration_ms` (integer, required) — How long Truvo took to answer, in milliseconds.
- `quote_request_id` (string, required, nullable) — The quote request that the request created or named, or null.
- `quote_id` (string, required, nullable) — The quote that the request named, or null.
- `agent` (RequestAgent, required) — The agent that sent the request, as its MCP client and its User-Agent named it.
